Facilitator Questions:
Themes:  Death and Resurrection, Unity and Victory in Christ
Start thinking:  Ask a question to get your group thinking.
  • What are the similarities and differences between Jesus’ death and resurrection and the vision of Ezekiel chapter 37?
  • How do the deaths and resurrections of Jesus and Ezekiel 37 relate to our lives as Jesus’ followers?
  • Ezekiel 37:15-23 speak of God unifying the divided tribes of Israel. Why is unity so important to God?
  • John 10:10 says that Jesus came that His followers may have abundant life. What is abundant life?
Start sharing:  Choose a question to create openness.
  • How is resurrection power active in your life? How can other people tell? What spiritual victories are evident?
  • Read Philippians 4:13. How can you apply this affirmation to a current challenge that you are facing?
  • In Ezekiel 37:4-8, God told Ezekiel what to speak to the dry bones. When he obeyed, he saw God’s word come to pass. Has there been a time when you had a message for someone else from the Holy Spirit? How was the word received, and what came of it after you spoke it?
  • Are there any ways you have sensed disunity or defeat in your life?
Start praying:  Be bold and pray with power.
  • Praise God for giving us His word, which has power to bring the dead to life.
  •  Thank God for your life in Christ and in His Body.
  • Bring to Jesus anything you need to repent of, which may have opened the door for the enemy to kill, steal or destroy your victory in Christ.
  • Pray for yourself, for each other and for the church to be strengthened to walk in faith.
  • Pray for the Church to be brought into unity with God and to be empowered, loving witnesses for Him.
Start doing:  Commit to a step and live it out this week.
  • Memorize Philippians 4:13. Recite it and pray for strength whenever you face a challenge.
  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you a word of encouragement, wisdom or exhortation for someone. Be on the alert for His leading, and be obedient to follow through.
  • Practice unity in the Body of Christ. Refuse to entertain any form of gossip, backbiting, strife or judgmental attitude on your part or anyone else’s.
