KIDS MINISTRY

Kids Ministry

SOUTHCOAST Kids is a place where children learn to live out their faith, build lasting friendships, and grow in their relationship with God. Our Kids' services incorporate praise, worship, honest conversations and illustrated messages that explain God's Word in a relatable way. We strive to be a place where children of all ages and all backgrounds are loved, welcomed, and invited into an atmosphere where they can encounter the love of God.  We hope SC Kids is just the beginning of a life-long, character-building, exciting journey with Jesus for your kids.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14

What We're Teaching:

Power of the SPIRIT

God promises His Holy Spirit to every person who trusts in Jesus. The Spirit isn’t reserved only for so-called super Christians who’ve been walking with God for decades. The Holy Spirit is for everyone who believes! There’s no such thing as a junior-sized version of the Holy Spirit for junior-sized followers of Jesus. The very same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead fills—and leads—the kids in your ministry! As you explore stories of the Holy Spirit’s arrival and work within the early church, marvel with your kids at the truth that the Spirit dwells in them, helps them, and gives them strength and boldness!
This month's memory verse: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. - Acts 1:8 NIV
Week 1: The lesson about the Great Commission and Jesus returning to heaven highlights the promise of the Holy Spirit. Scripture Passages: Matthew 28 and Acts 1

Week 2: Learning about Pentecost will teach us that Holy Spirit empowers us to share the Good News of the Gospel. Scripture Passage: Acts 2

Week 3: As we study the role of Holy Spirit, we'll understand that He helps and guides us. Scripture Passages: Luke 11, John 14 and Galatians 5

Week 4: The lesson about Peter and John before the Sanhedrin teaches us that Holy Spirit helps us be bold. Scripture Passages: Acts 3-4

Week 5: Learning about Peter and Cornelius will teach us that Holy Spirit is for everyone who believes. Scripture Passage: Acts 10

Week 6: In studying the Armor of God, we'll see that the Holy Spirit gives us strength. Scripture Passage: Ephesians 6
