Problems and Promises
God promised His people a land of their own. But the process of settling in Canaan would not be easy because the land was still inhabited by other people. In this series, kids will explore how God prepared the way for Israel to take over by making a safe passage for spies to enter, causing walls to crumble so the Israelites could conquer a city, and making the sun stand still to give His people an advantage during battle. God fulfilled His promise of providing a home for Israel because He can make a way through anything. He will always keep His word.
The memory verse: He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He made, for a thousand generations. - 1 Chronicles 16:15
Week 1: The lesson on Rahab and the Spies will teach us that God prepares the way. Scripture Passage: Joshua 2
Week 2: We'll learn that God can make a way through anything as we study when the Israelites crossed the Jordan River. Scripture Passage: Joshua 3-4
Week 3: The account of Joshua and Jericho will show us that God is the One who leads us. Scripture Passage: Joshua 5-6
Week 4: We'll learn that God hears us as we read about when He made the sun stand still. Scripture Passage: Joshua 10
Week 5: When God calls Gideon, we'll see that God helps us be courageous. Scripture Passages: Judges 6-7

Kids Church
Our team uses Bible-based curriculum and weekly family interactive questions that are available on Wonder@Home. We hope SC Kids is just the beginning of a life-long, character-building, exciting journey with Jesus for your kids.
Service Times: Every Sunday at 9:30am. Check-in starts at 9:15am in the Barn for all ages from infant through 6th grade before heading off to their classrooms. If you are a new family, please plan to arrive right when check-in opens to allow for registration. Check-in closes at 10:15am.
